why do you need to say SORRY when you update your blog irregularly??

i used to read blogs when i got frustrated by school works. I want to know people's life and all the funny happennings through their updates. purpose might be caring, curious or even spying hhaaha... so blogging is all about showing our emotions and thought to everyone on the world...
We all might be busy somedays and might forget or tired of updating right...because there're nothing much to be shared and emotion-less for the period... but why?? after you come back from a long period of ignoring the blog, the first word you update is [SORRY]?? why apologise?? apologise to?? its a place to release stress and keep record of some memorable times for youself isnt it!!
serious... its sooooooo stupid to make a apology to someone you dont even know over things you didnt even do wrong... DUH!!
